Anthony Muron was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Psychology, Class of 2014. He is currently a Peace Corps Volunteer serving as a Community/Environmental Health Volunteer in the Ile district of the Zambezia province of Mozambique. As a health worker, He is responsible for working together with the hospital and its NGO in order to inform the community about the prevention, causes and treatment of HIV, malaria, cholera and other common health related issues. Soon after visiting Mt. Namuli in March of 2016, he learned of the Legado Initiative and offered to volunteer with the project on Namuli. Since then, he has been involved in permagardening and sustainable agricultural activities with the Namuli community as well as monitoring and evaluation. As an environmental sustainability advocate, he is dedicated to sharing ideas and working together with the community as well as with the Legado Initiative team in order to help build a better future for Namuli.
