In each of our program areas, we partner with regional organizations and Indigenous and local communities to co-create Thriving Futures that center a community’s own priorities for implementing their self-defined legacies.
In 2024, Legado launched two new program partnerships:
- A partnership with Planet Indonesia to bring Thriving Futures to the ancient forests of Indonesian Borneo.
- A partnership with The Pangolin Project to co-create a Landscape Legacy Plan with the Maasai stewards of the Nyekweri Forest.

Mozambique
Legado:Namuli is Legado’s foundational program working with the Lomwe communities encircling Mount Namuli, Mozambique, a key biodiversity area.
