Ngilai community members building their version of their Thriving Future | Roshni Lodhia/Legado

In each of our program areas, we partner with regional organizations and Indigenous and local communities to co-create Thriving Futures that center a community’s own priorities for implementing their self-defined legacies.

In 2024, Legado launched two new program partnerships:

  • A partnership with Planet Indonesia to bring Thriving Futures to the ancient forests of Indonesian Borneo.
  • A partnership with The Pangolin Project to co-create a Landscape Legacy Plan with the Maasai stewards of the Nyekweri Forest.
Read more about these partnerships, and all our work in 2024, in the updates below.
